Moonlight Concept Laptop

Moonlight Concept Laptop

Thus, concept designs are for the things I feel the happiest girl alive. Especially when it comes to the Moonlight, which is a nice laptop concept by Teo brown, you get the impression that looks much like a mobile phone.

It has two curved screens: the one is a bigger 16:9, while the other, smaller, of course, is a 4:3. The two displays are available to the user significantly reduce the stress on the eyes. And how do they do that? Well, the distance between the eyes and the display is optimized.

The bottom display is touch sensitive (touch screen) and it is multifunctional, as you can always use it as a mouse, on the one hand, and he is capable of a mini-operating system. Not to mention the fact that they are additional features in the major segments of the Moonlight.

A very important aspect is the special sensors to the control under the laptop and allows you to light when it gets dark in the room where you use it. The moonlight comes with several accessories to help you make the best display and input experience.

You do not need for the purchase of laptop covers for Moonlight because you can easily see, the device looks absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, it is only a concept for the moment.

Is Acer Joining the Slim Netbook Club?

Is Acer Joining the Slim Netbook Club?

Netbook makers continue to fight small profit margins, they are on the lookout for new revenue sources. One thing is for sure in the SLIM Group has already demonstrated MSI, and ASUS a few models in this area is expected that some of them also. Adding to the Acer Netbook-on-a-diet-Club on the basis of some photos that appeared on the macles* blog.

The pictures show a device similar to the new 10-inch Netbook Acer Aspire One, but with a tapered design. The Netbook will be a return of the second memory card slot to complement the SSD drive, which was one of the my fave features on the original AAO. Based on this, * Maclen figures this model to a Linux offering. Most of the thin-Ness is in the front area under the wrist rest, so it looks more like a compromise between thin and medium to me. I would have expected that it shave a little weight and are slightly more than two pounds with a battery. That compared to the current 10-inch Acer model with 2.6-pounds.

As I think about the business model here, I wonder in retrospect whether it really Netbook on market shares and profit margins are not so much. Thinner Netbook usually more expensive than bulkier counterparts as “thin” is regarded as a function. But OEMs have design challenges to fit more into less space, which probably cost them more money too. At the end, I wonder if the profit margin at a higher price, thin Netbook is pretty much the same as a lower-priced clunker.

Asus to Kill Its 8.9-Inch Netbooks

Asus, which kickstarted the Netbook market with its Eee PCs this year, take some difficult decisions. The company is the production of the 8.9-inch models this year, and instead says Digitimes slightly larger devices.

The move should not be surprising, as buyers want more user friendly than what actually tiny screens and cramped keyboards can offer.

About 95 percent of Eee PC shipments this year, the 10-inch — Screen size version, while the rest will be 7-inch Netbook for telecom Services, according to Benson Lin, president of Asus Asia Pacific. Users seem to prefer the 10-inch screen, says Lin.

Netbook are among the fastest growing category of personal computers as customers crave for small mobile devices even more affordable. Netbook About 15 million were sold last year and sales are expected to more than double this year, says ABI Research.

Netbook growth will depend on how comfortable users will feel with smaller machines. And Asus’ recent decision shows that there is such a thing as too small for PCs.

Acer files patent for a keyboard-less Mobile Internet Device

January 26th, 2009

acer mid Acer files patent for a keyboard less Mobile Internet DeviceIt looks like Acer could be more than a 10 inch netbook. The company has filed for a patent on a mobile Internet device or MID. There is virtually no information about the device yet. All we have are a few images with a computer that is all screen and no keyboard.

It Locos as there are a few ports, including what may be an SD card slot. But I can not tell you what kind of memory, memory, processor, or operating system are there. We do not even know how big this mobile device. It could be your run of the mill MID, or it could be a CrunchPad-style 12-inch giants.

As UMPC Portal proposes that the most interesting, perhaps not for the fact that Acer is working on a MID, but the fact that Acer has the infrastructure and know-how to mass produce these things cheaper, which means it could cost much less than the average MID.
