Time names Apple MacBook, iPod touch among best travel gadgets

Time magazine has published its list of 2009′s best travel gadgets, and the iPod touch and Free MacBook have made the cut. Time takes the MacBook size and high green ratings, and the speed of the iPod touch, Wi-Fi compatibility and the library of games is working in their favor.

I see my shares of travel (and Steve) and that my iPhone are enough plus a few well-chosen applications, the work is done by most of the time to obtain.

It is strange that the iPhone was not included, because their connection is not limited to Wi-Fi as the Free iPod touch and Free PS3. It is still strange that several of the applications list like Yelp (the masses to eat Tips tap) [iTunes link] and Zipcar App (find) a quick and simple unity, but not the device that would get the best from of them. Maybe it was the high cost of service for the iPhone?

Stranger still is the inclusion of the droid. We assume that it made the cut based on its success story.

ExpressCard 2.0 Will Be Ten Times Faster

No sooner did Apple drop the MacBook Pro Express Card slot Express Card as the organization announces a major upgrade to Version 2 The ExpressCard Standard 2.0 is equipped with a crucial difference: speed.

How much faster? Ten times faster, according to the specifications. Transfer tops in 5Gbps, which means that everything needed to establish a set of data will benefit, including video transmission, eSata adapter for external hard drives and everything coming with the USB 3.0 spec. In short, it is the pedestrian-slot at the side of many computers to a rapid and useful accessories.

Will we ever in a portable Mac? Given the fact that Apple seems to be playing musical chairs with data ports, FireWire break to make it again just a few months later, for example, it is quite possible that this slot will be in future revisions. Then again, this announcement from the ExpressCard humans is only the completion of the specification itself: We have a while to wait for the actual products ship. Apple netbook in development?

Apple netbook in development?

An Apple Netbook is hitting shelves, but not under the Apple name: illegal crooksters Psystar, which made headlines when it announced last year, they were commercially available personal computers loaded with Apple’s Leopard software, have argued they have a OS X Netbook under development.

The shady company has with its fight against Apple, which confirm that they have a Netbook loaded with Apple’s OS X operating system in the works. Rumors about an Apple Netbook has existed since the beginning of the Eee PC age, but so far they are still a bite out of the Netbook market, estimated to ship 30 million units this year alone.

Psystar has not made a public confirmation of this rumor Netbook, but with more detailed OS X hacks already online, it should be fairly easy to make your own Apple Netbook. Not that we support of course – Apple does not condone the unauthorized use of the operating software.
