For little more than the cost of a nuclear-powered netbook, the Acer Aspire One 721-3574 ($ 429) sports a larger 11.6-inch display, a comfortable keyboard and a fast AMD Athlon processor Neo-II with ATI graphics combined for HD video playback. This system is also a full $ 170 less than a nearly identical version, powered by an Intel processor. So, what’s not to like? The battery life is far below the average, this ultraportable is not very mobile.
Just one of the best looking notebooks we’ve seen for less than $ 450, the Aspire One 721 measures only 1 to 1.1 centimeters thick and weighs only 2.8 pounds. Especially beautiful black textured cover the mesh is (no fingerprint marks), which has a subtle cross-hatch pattern. The inside of the machine has a slim orange stripe below the black keyboard and the power button is as spun metal look. A lighter gray stripes encircling the base of the 721, adding to the sophisticated aesthetic.
The left side of this ultra portable houses a VGA port, power jack, HDMI and USB. An Ethernet port, slot, two USB ports, microphone and headphone jacks and a 5 can be found on the other side in-1 memory card reader.

Powered by a single-core AMD Athlon processor Neo K125 II processor and 2 GB of RAM, the Aspire One 721 is not a speed demon, but it is certainly faster than the typical netbook. In PCMark Vantage this ultraportable notched in 1911, about 700 points higher than the average netbook.
The Aspire One 721-screen display is one of the better we are this high, a 11.6-inch Panel saw with 1366 x 768 resolution.
