Acer Aspire AS5740 and AS7740 show off
Acer has a couple of new laptops at CES, has presented the implementation of the new Intel Core i3 and i5-core processors. Both notebooks use the Acer Gemstone style with deep colors and rounded edges. The machines also run the two Windows 7 Home Premium.
The Acer Aspire AS5740G-6979 features an Intel Core i5 430M CPU and a 15.6-inch 1366 x 768 screen. The machine has 4 GB of RAM, ATI HD 5650 RAM, 500GB HDD and DVD burner. Other features include a trackpad that gestures, 802.11n WiFi, a webcam, and a 4400 mAh battery supports. The machine sells for $ 749.99.
The Acer Aspire AS7740-5142 features an Intel i3-330M processor, which runs at 2.13 GHz. The machine features a 17.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1600 x 900 and 4 GB of RAM. Storage is a 500GB HDD and it has 802.11n WiFi. Power is from a 6-cell battery good 3.5 hours. Both notebooks will ship on 17 January.
