As if the netbook market is not already full enough, Taiwan HTC smartphone giant is allegedly considering entry and aims to release that, “added”: “unique value” of the current netbook offerings. ” Company CEO Peter Chou himself was quoted as saying that HTC “look carefully into this category and how it can be a part of it.” Well, I do not believe that someone would, eventually, competition is never a bad thing in this industry.
But many questions you can find HTC to be raised about the intentions to enter the fast growing netbook is: What differentiate their offerings from the dozens of other models already in the market? Will it be bundled with an operator contract? Is it with Windows, Linux or Android? I think we will never know. Only HTC officially comes out and speaks about these things, of course. And when they’re done, we’ll let you know.
