HP began offering the opportunity to configure the HP Mini 5101 with Linux, high-definition screens, advanced batteries and other options. Unfortunately, the price for the fully configurable netbook $ 539, which is far higher than the $ 399 price price for the pre-configured models of this netbook.
In other words, if you wanted a 6-cell battery, and would need $ 165 to $ 564 or more than the strike price of a version with a 4-cell battery pay. That’s kind of silly since the HP 6-cell battery described as $ 25 upgrade.
Well, now you can actually buy an HP Mini 5101 with a 6-cell 55WHr battery for only 425 $. Everything you need to do is select the model that is preconfigured with this battery (it’s called FM978UT)
HP claims that this laptop batteries should be about 9 hours, or run twice as long as the standard 4-cell 29WHr battery.
Like the $ 399 model comes the $ 425 version with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, laptop chargers, 1GB RAM, 160GB, 7200rpm HDD, 2MP Webcam, Bluetooth 2.0 , and 802.11a b/g/n WLAN.
