HP And Dr. Dre Breathe Life Into Digital Music With Beats Limited Edition Envy 15

Dr. Dre and Interscope Records approached HP with a goal in mind: to bring back the full listening experience to music. How can we test out in our audio-flavor, offer many of the most popular digital music players, not great audio quality, but convenience and popularity often guide purchase decisions. A good pair of headphones can make a difference, even on so-so player. Dre’s first efforts led the Beats headphones, but he was not content to stop it. Next up: computer, and the envy line of notebooks is the lucky recipient of this enhanced audio experience.

HP today announced a special bonus for dedicated music lovers: a limited edition Envy beats 15 for $ 2,300 through HP Direct. The beats model has a piano-black acrylic finish on the magnesium chassis, and the beats logo on the lid. It is also a series of beats by Dr. Dre over-ear headphones, and free software from Native Instruments Traktor LE for the digital DJ in you. The beats 22nd edition will ship October.

Computers are increasingly at the service as a media center and sound system in many homes. Dr. Dre and Interscope approached several computer manufacturers, and HP was the first to address them about the challenges of working with the best audio experience that make working from the floor to trade. Laptop engineers and music artists are not natural bedfellows, but in the end HP and Interscope as the effort is worthwhile.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with some of the people behind the collaboration and the difference beats audio software can be heard either by a series of beats headphones and a set of external speakers. I was very impressed by the diversity of sound created envy – we’re talking not just a glorified bass boost here impressed. We are talking a leap into the depth of the sound world.

These improvements are not just for audiophiles, either. After all, popular music meant for the masses. The artists and producers who are not the final title of craftsmanship with the goal of their efforts on the small segment of the market is still hunting for the warmth of vinyl, they want everyone, music to hear how they are to it. That is the core of this cooperation.

All models have included about HP Envy Beats Audio, but the beats in a limited edition notebook includes the headphones and DJ software. If you are serious about my music and long for a professional quality portable audio experience that is smooth-laptop may be worth a second look.

Gaming with NVIDIA ION

Gaming with NVIDIA ION

The NVIDIA ION platform is a lot of credit for that 1080p video playback on low-power computers with Intel Atom processors. But NVIDIA ION systems are also quite good (some games but not all) video games. I’m not a hardcore gamer, so I’ve been using systems like the Asus Eee Top ET2002 with Age of Mythology, a 7 years old game, probably the latest PC game takes place in my collection.

At the suggestion of a reader, I download and try the open source first-person shooter Nexuiz, and it also ran smoothly, even though I confirmed to me that I stink at FPS games.

The folks at Laptop Magazine tried a few other games for the review of the HP Mini 311, has the NVIDIA Control ION LE. Basically ION LE is exactly the same as the ION platform in the Eee Top ET2002 except that ION LE offers no support for DirectX-10.

You can video from the HP Mini 311 World of Warcraft and Spore on Laptop Magazine blog. The verdict? Both games are quite playable, since the GPU does most of the heavy lifting.
