Asus Eee PC 1201N with NVDIA ION pops up in China

Asus has announced that not all notebooks with NVIDIA graphics ION yet, but a Chinese business has a product page for a 1201N Eee PC laptop with a 12-inch display, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU and NVIDIA graphics ION posted.

The laptop would also have 2 GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, which was a pretty good indication that this case was not suitable, the streets before Windows will hit all 7, 22 October will start. Microsoft prohibits netbook makers from the installation of Windows XP licenses for low-cost machines with more than 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB of memory.

The Eee PC 1201N display is a widescreen HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. And NVIDIA GeForce 9400M chip looks like an ION-chip, non-ION LE, as call data support for DirectX 10.

The laptop has also been reported, 802.11b g n WiFi, Ethernet, a VGA port, USB, Audio I O, and a 6 cell, 5200mAh battery, which can take up to 11 hours duration. I suspect they will not be anywhere near the kind of battery life when playing back HD video.

If the image is correct, it looks like the 12-inch laptop will take design cues from the Asus Eee PC 1101HA, 1005HA, and other “shell”-series netbooks. But it is also possible that ‘sjust an image from an existing model like the 1101HA.
