ASUS has released updates to its multimedia N-series family in the form of the N61 and N71. Expect a better sound to go along with the already very good set of features.

The main improvement is new in the speakers. Both notebooks are SonicMaster ASUS ‘technology, the use of paper is a foam-cone design. This technique produces improvement in sound quality in a number of audio range, and should, in cooperation with SRS Premium Sound Altec Lansing speakers a fantastic offer audio experience.

Both laptops can come packaged with some other impressive data. Each can also be an Intel Core 2 Duo or Intel Core 2 Quad for a CPU, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, and a 1GB NVidia GeForce GT 240M or 220M GT. Of course, they also come with Blu-ray. The resolution is 1366 x 768 on both and the pricing and availability is not yet known.
