MSI X340 Updated

The low-cost market ULV just a bit more competitive: MSI some much needed improvements to its X340, this ultra portable much more affordable and attractive for consumers.

Since we first review of a preproduction unit of the X340 in May, the company is now using the notebook with an 8-cell battery, more than doubled his endurance to 8 hours and 48 minutes. At the same time, MSI reduced the price of the X340 for $ 799 from $ 899th

While we initially knocked the X340′s 4-cell battery for the low endurance (3 hours and 38 minutes, to be exact), the new score increases over a competing ultra-portable, the Acer Aspire Timeline 3810T whose battery lasted 8:05 Battery test on the laptop. In addition, the X340 is now 100 U.S. dollars less than the Acer.

The extended battery X340 increases the weight of 3.4 kilograms of 2.9 kg, but it is hardly enough to notice, and the battery of the wedge-shaped design fits seamlessly into the underside of the chassis. For consumers who already have a X340 with a 4-cell battery, MSI offers the 8-cell.

While the X340 has the same internal data remains (Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 CULVER, 2GB RAM, 320GB hard drive), MSI from another critical improvement: the keyboard no longer works as a trampoline. Although there is still a little bit of flex, it is not enough to be perceived as disturbing.

Asus launches 20 inch Eee Top ET2002T in France

The Asus Eee Top ET2002T is an all-in-one desktop PC with a 20-inch, 1600 x 900 pixel display. But as I discovered when reviewing the 15.6-inch Eee Top ET1602 with its 1366 x 768 pixel display, high resolution displays and Intel Atom processors are not always well together. On the one hand, web pages and static images were awesome. On the other hand, video-(especially Flash) that they had problems getting hold. I can only imagine what would be worse on the ET2002T with even higher resolution.

Fortunately, the ET2002T has two things that do not ET1602: A Dual-Core Atom 330 CPU and NVIDIA graphics ION. This might not be sufficient to Hulu well in fullscreen mode, but it should help the PC with HD video downloaded. There’s also a built in DVD burner, if you want films from these old things called optical discs.

The computer has 2 GB of RAM, a 250 GB hard drive and an HDMI input, you can use the Eee Top as a display for another computer. Blogeee reported that the ET2002T in Europe in the next few weeks for about 598 or U.S. $ 846. So one must ask: Are people willing to spend this money for any computer with an Intel Atom processor? Even with a 20-inch screen and NVIDIA ION?
