Since the launch of Google’s G1 smartphone with Android, there is always talk that Android could be a great mobile platform for small notebooks. Will ship this fall, the Acer Netbook Android is based on the Aspire One with Atom Processor and 10-inch screen. Unveiled at Computex Electronics Show last June, Acer has shown that not only the Aspire running Android, but it can also be used in a dual-boot configuration with Windows XP. This can be particularly advantageous to Android based Netbook applications online.

Acer is the first company that is a Android based Netbook with Atom processor, and the advantage that Android has a Windows configuration, it is open-source development, in a more affordable Netbook.

No word on how much the Aspire runs Android, but it will be here this fall.
