
Western Digital today at a symbolic milestone in the notebook memory today with the introduction of two new Scorpio Blue notebook hard drives on the 500 GB mark.
The new versions reach 750 GB and 1 TB each by installing something more than 333GB per Platter. While the drives are 12.5mm high and therefore unlikely that they are for most notebook computers outside of desktop-replacement models, the design also on the future and is considered particularly useful for external drives, where the extra space is worth more.
Both possibilities have anti-shock protection, and peaceful mechanisms. They connect to SATA and SATA II interfaces, and should be available today. Not a word was 9.5 mm drives for notebooks thinner.
