Two Linux apps with netbook-friendly user interfaces

Netbook Most have low resolution displays, which means that applications that look good on your desktop or laptop computers are more difficult to handle, on a Netbook with a 10-inch, 1024 x 600 pixels or lower resolution or display.

A to a time when most applications were for 800 x 600 pixels or lower resolution displays, you can always dig old programs for your Netbook. But a handful of developers are also upgrading existing applications to optimize it for small screens. Ars Technica has an article about a new version of the Banshee media player has a “Cubano” interface designed specifically for Netbook. Banshee was originally written for Linux, but it also runs on OS X.

Another Netbook Linux Anjal is about an e-mail program that has a tabbed UI for small screens.

UMPC maker Raon Digital may be in financial trouble

The manufacturer of the Everun Note, Raon Digital is rumored to financial difficulties. Despite bringing the mini-laptop that was launched by the dual-core AMD Turion 64 x 2 CPU for $ 900!
