Sony VAIO W Series Netbook Unveiled

Sony today launched the VAIO W Series 10.1-inch Netbook.

Together with a 1366 x 768 LED-backlit display, the Sony VAIO W features the Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive with Windows XP preinstalled and a 3 – or 6-cell battery.

The Netbook sports a built-in Web camera and microphone, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, LAN and Ethernet and two USB ports, a Memory Stick / SD card reader and a VGA output.

The VAIO W comes in three colors – Berry pink, white sugar and cocoa brown.

It is used in Sony Style retail stores and other retailers from next month.

Active Media are back, and they produced a series of upgrades for your tired, file-filled Eee PC. The latest Sabertooth Sabertooth-S and SS SSD areas for them to storage in compatible ASUS Netbook to 64GB, along with access times of up to 155MB sec.

The Sabertooth-S series are the entry-level SSDs, consisting of 16 GB and 32 GB mini PCIe cards. They are designed for sequential read speeds of up to 90 MB s and write speeds of up to 55 MB sec

As for the Sabertooth SS-area, the 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB Mini-PCIe Card Manager allows up to 155MB sec read and up to 100 MB s write rates. The Active Media debts, making it the fastest SSD upgrade for the Eee PC.

All five of the cards you use the SATA-II 3Gbps interface and ECC, Bad bit and wear leveling. You are guaranteed, with the ASUS Eee PC S101, 900, 900A and 901 models.
