Lenovo ThinkPad T400s 14″ Business Notebook

Lenovo ThinkPad officially announced T400s, an incredibly thin and light 14 “notebook. T400S The ThinkPad weighs less than four pounds and measures less than an inch thick, it feels even thinner and lighter.

David Critchley Lenovo first one has shown me the T400s in the last month in an early preview, and I had the option of a review unit in the last few days. I’m in the middle of writing a full review and I like everything about the T400s so far. It is fast because it uses standard-voltage Intel Core 2 Duo processors and not the low-voltage versions, which are often thin and light business notebooks.

The T400s starts at $ 1599, which is a premium over the T400, but within reach for the company and it is ranking for. Despite his slim stature, the T400s has a nice compliment of ports. On the left side of the computer is USB 2.0-port, headset port and memory card slot. On the back of the T400s have display port, a USB eSATA port, a USB 2.0 port, Ethernet port, VGA output and AC power connector. The optical drive and wireless on off switch are the only items on the right side.

Lenovo claims the primary battery holds up to six hours. Since the battery is located under the palm rest, it is impossible for an extended battery on the T400s. Instead, the optical drive can be exchanged for a second battery in a matter of seconds.

The ThinkPad T400s comes with:

  • The choice of the 2.53 GHz Intel Core processors 2Duo (standard voltage) and graphics
  • The choice of solid-state drive storage up to 128 GB or 250 GB disk storage
  • 9.5 mm thin DVD burner or Blu-ray player
  • Ethernet, optional WiFi and WiMax, WWAN, Bluetooth connectivity and ultrawideband
  • 34mm Express Card slot or 5-in-1 Multimedia Card Reader
  • Support for Lenovo ConstantConnect and Protect technology that allows users to facilitate the integration of the BlackBerry smartphone and ThinkPad notebooks
  • Almost six hours of battery life
  • Supports up to two monitors on a display port and VGA connector
  • Complies with Energy Star criteria for energy efficiency, containing 5,0
  • Built-in USB eSATA port
