
There are no set guidelines to be released, but a pictures of interesting design. The new laptop has certainly some features of Dell Adamo line-up and a high quality, it is clear from some first images. But the pictures show Centrino (not Centrino 2) and Vista Basic tags, which means that it is still with the Santa Rosa platform. The Dell Home Entertainment series have focused on the Centrino 2 Montevina platform, but it seems that the series business notebooks have not yet.
The screen is a 15-inch mainstream and large icons recommend it has 1280×800 resolution. It comes with a camera, microphone and fingerprint reader. Dell has resumed with the ‘Latitude On’ functions, which fell in some previous Latitude notebooks. The simple white letters on the keyboard suggests the lack of keyboard with backlighting.
But the laptop has a very neat appearance, and a very sleek design. From the looks, it seems that it is possibly the slimmest and lightest Latitude laptop. Dell has made some changes to conventional designs with the LAN port on the back and fingerprint reader strangely placed. Ports are USB 2.0, DisplayPort and we expect Wi-Fi and Bluetooth inside.
