I was impressed with the Sony VAIO P, if I played with it, but I always want it with Windows XP instead of Vista. The performance was not well with Vista, and my experience with other similarly equipped notebooks with XP I had the desire for this option.Sony has a special focus for this kind of longing, and the word is that Windows XP will soon be a configuration option for the purchase of a VAIO p. This comes at a price, as Microsoft’s rules for the marketing of XP on notebooks limited memory allows up to 1 GB. This is crazy, but it is what it is like for OEMs that want XP on notebooks. More good news from Sony regarding the VAIO P – it is a new 2-GHz processor option and a 256 GB SSD, but I can only shudder to think how much will cost. These new options will be in Japan and hopefully over the waters in Europe and the U.S.
