Asus Eee Keyboard to be available in June

If you remember back to the CES 2009, we saw Asus unveil a prototype keyboard that at first glance looked cool, but after finding out what happened has become even cooler. Unfortunately, at the time the keyboard was just a prototype. Now, fast forward a bit and it now looks like that the keyboard is hitting the market, and soon at that.

After some recent rumors, the Eee keyboard is expected by the end of June. That is only slightly more than a month away from now.

Just a quick summary of the Eee keyboard was noted as the “first Wireless Media Center HDMI enabled ultra wideband.” Basically, this is a keyboard on steroids. In addition to the standard keyboard, the Eee keyboard also has a 5-inch display with 800 x 480 resolution on the right side of the numeric keypad. Of course, the display is of something, and in this case that something happens to a full PC in the deep interior. Spec wise, the PC is rumored to within an Intel Atom N270 processor, 32GB SSD 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI-out, microphone and stereo speakers.

Unfortunately, still no mention of prices just yet. Look for an announcement to come in a few weeks during Computex in Tapei.
