Dell Offers Ubuntu on Studio XPS 13 Notebook

PC, notebook, monitor and associated hardware manufacturer Dell has recently started his Studio 13 XPS notebook PC preinstalled with the Linux-based operating system Ubuntu. The 13.3-inch notebook else has the same specifications as the key Windows Vista-powered counterpart, including the same 2.4-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, even if some of the available options differ between them. A higher capacity 9-cell battery is also only on Windows-based system, as the productivity software from Microsoft.

The basic operating system is Ubuntu Desktop Edition Version 8:10, when buyers can choose from 7 04 version with 1 year of basic technical support, or 7 04 with one year of tech support standards.
