Acer Aspire One 531

Acer is with another of its high-end known as the Netbook Aspire One 531, which was recently in Germany. Measuring 10″ x 7.2″ x 1.1″ and a weight of 2.2 kg and is thus one of the smallest and lightest Netbook with 10.1-inch display.

So here is what you think of this high-end Netbook : a 10.1-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, optional 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 or 1.68GHz Intel Atom N280 processor, Intel 945GSE Express or Intel 82801GBM Chipset, up to 2 GB of RAM, 160 GB HDDs, 0 , 3 M Webcam, 802.11b g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, UMTS HSDPA 3G modem, multi-format card reader, 3 USB ports, VGA port and Ethernet port.

The Acer Aspire One 531 is now available at Amazon Germany.

Workhorse Certeza MC10

The Netbook comes straight from Texas, although I bet it is not produced. Anyway, Workhorse PC is in McKinney, Texas, and since this Netbook comes from them, here is the standard features, although the system is configurable online:

  • CPU: Intel Atom N270 with 945GSE
  • Display/Resolution: 10.1 inches/1024 x 600
  • Memory: Up to 2GB
  • Card Slots: ExpressCard, 4-in-1 card reader
  • 1.3 megapixel Webcam
  • Wireless: 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, WiMax, and WLAN (Sprint, Verizon Wireless, and AT&T)
  • Size: 10.0 x 7.3 x 0.75 inches
  • Weight: 2.9 pounds

Well, I think you were not with the Linux and Windows versions have the same price, because this is not the truth, even if I have some Asus Eee PC models the same price, and the Linux version with more memory and or storage than the Windows counterpart.

Despite the fact there’s no page yet ready, Jill Henson, Workhorse PC’s Vice President, said the certeza MC10 will be $399 for a Linux version, $ 449 for XP Home, up to $ 549 for a Vista Business version. The price could also be affected by your choice of a 4-cell or 6-cell battery, but probably not too much.
