Samsung NC310 Netbook

The crux of the matter when the owner of a Netbook in the first place is that the small computer, the Internet into a truly portable form. You do not want to be tied to an electrical outlet, because that is not exactly portable anymore. Samsung knows. While most other Netbook provide two to five hours of battery life, the newly revealed Samsung N310 goes so much further with a full eleven hours computing on a single charge. It is not surprising that those with very serious reservations. The standard battery for this Netbook tops to “only” five hours, so you must use the “extended” battery, the 11-hour value.

The stylish Samsung N310 appears to be on a similar platform as the already popular Samsung Nc10, but it come with a few upgrades apart from the above batteries. You get the same 10.1-inch LCD, 160 GB HDD and 1 GB of RAM, but you also get WiFi, HSDPA, WiBro (WiMAX in Korea), Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel camera. There is no reference to the processor, but we assume it’s the Intel Atom diversity.

Battery life seems to be one of the great things with new Netbook these days. The Asus Eee PC 1000HE has 9.5 hours on one charge and now the Samsung N310 goes even further with its eleven hours. I imagine the basic configuration for the N310 will be in line with the competition, but it is difficult to say how much of a premium is that an “improved” battery.
