Asus Eee PC 1000HE with new battery & keyboard

Asus has a landing page for the upcoming Eee PC Netbook 1000HE. As I discovered at CES, there are a few things that distinguish this laptop from the original Eee PC 1000h. First, it has the new “Chiclete” keyboard with the Shift key on the right side of the keyboard on the left side of the arrow upward, resulting in many touch typists happy. Secondly, the computer has the new Intel Atom N280 CPU and chipset GN50, the better graphics performance and a little bit of a speed boost. Finally, the Asus Eee PC 1000HE has a higher capacity battery. Asus claims that the users should have the opportunity as much as 9.5 hours of battery life from the 6 cell battery. But that is compatible with the Wi-Fi disabled. I’m guessing that the means of 7 or 8 hours under normal conditions of use, but that’s not bad. It is also noteworthy that, if I get this Netbook at CES, Asus claims that it would be an Intel Atom N270 CPU and get 8.7 hours of battery life. So obviously the N280 offers some savings, even if it runs at a speed of up to 1.66GHz instead of 1.6 GHz.
