“The box-like” Toshiba NB100 is clear – in both senses of the word – in the latter camp. It is a nod to designeriness: The silver-bronze” Champagne Gold ” made of plastic, the edges around the main part of the machine turns on the sides , but it’s the only concession to modern design and other frippery. The lid is also in silver-bronze-plastic look – shiny but this time – and the rest of the NB100 is matte black. The lid is hinged slightly forward from the back and turns on two increases, solid hinge units, including the NB100 to a slightly retro look.
